These two short projects were part of a design studio taught by visiting faculty Coy Howard.
The first project sought to create a single dynamic and aesthetically pleasing form from five or more found objects. Beyond the form and aesthetics of the physical sculpture, the photography of the object became very important in its representation. Exploring basic concepts of framing, proportion, lighting and situation led to hundreds of photographs of which the best two are pictured here.
The second project, applied the all the previous concepts to a piece of architecture sited in Mexico City. By ignoring program in this project, we were able to focus on the form, space, context, materiality and representation of the architecture.
